The Hackney Wick & Fish Island Community Development Trust (HWFI CDT) was formed in 2017 by four local social enterprises - Stour Space and The Yard Theatre, Creative Wick and Grow, Hackney - who were concerned about the impact of property development on the heritage and culture of the local area.

Alex is a director at Augarde & Partners, she specialises in place-based strategy, inclusive economies, communications and engagement, facilitating change, delivery models and partnerships.

William is founding director of Creative Wick and the founder and chairman of the CIG, a local business to business innovation network established in 2010.

Paul is a Chartered Landscape Architect and Urban Designer, and founding Director at Tapestry - a specialist urbanism and placemaking consultancy based in London, UK.


Our full board is made up of the executive team alongside additional non-executive Directors – business and community leaders who work and/or live in the area. Their role is to support the executive team and ensure that our mission stays focused on supporting the local community in Hackney Wick and Fish Island.
